Dear Len, I got to know you through those first heady days of Fondacio in the UK. It was an amazing time - fun, friendship, sharing - so much joy, even with the tears too. I always thought of you (with Eileen, Pauline and Brian) as our'elders' - who we looked to for wisdom and decisions and encouragement and generally just helping us to find our way collectively and personally. However there was plenty of other times when all that wisdom was replaced by jokes, laughter, dancing, singing and joy. Somehow you managed to walk and lead us along that fine line between seriousness and laughter without losing anything of the gift of Fondacio. Your passion and commitment was catching - and we caught it - Fondacio is still my spiritual family and I am very grateful for it. You were the best encourager, teacher and leader we could have had and we felt bereft when you left to continue your journey where you felt called - it did us good though! You had such integrity and such a love for the church - it often made me think again about my life and decisions. Thank you for being true to yourself. Rest in peace, Maddy
